Mask
November 5, 2008 by Mary
Here is a mask I made a few months ago but have only just got around to taking photos of! It’s made from a flat sheet of copper that I shaped using small steel tools and a hammer. It was very enjoyable to make, a labour of love!

It has a look of wisdom about it! I’m not kidding either, it’s a mask with expression. There was an excellent adventure novel from years ago called The Mask of Dimitrious. It reminds me of the cover on that book. Spooky.
seamless translation of your drawing skills to a 3D piece – it’s really worth thinking about how you engage this amazing ability in your work next year
Awesome. Where can I get mine? Does it come with the purple hood? Cuz that’s keen too.
Thanx for the comments guys!
The purple hood you mentioned oberonthefool(though I’m sure you’re not!) is actually just an old jumper of mine that I thought looked good when I was putting the photo together lol! I’m making a series of masks at the moment and was thinking of attaching them to hoods though. Thanks for all the support!
